Our Interview with Glenn Douglas Packard

Interviews — @ 11:20 am

We got the chance to interview Glenn Douglas Packard, star of the VH1 reality show “Brooke Knows Best”, and Emmy-nominated choreographer, on October 8th (today). Be sure to check out Glenn’s Myspace and website for more information on him! Thanks again for the interview, Glenn!

1.Who has been your favorite artist to choreograph for?
I would have to say MJ, he is the KING OF POP!!!! and in my career that is the ARTIST u dream of working for! I think Brooke Hogan is a huge talent and love working with her, since she is one of my best friends! And Pink rocked when I worked for her!! The girl has PIPES!!!

2. What’s it like being friends with Brooke, and having the paparazzi constantly following you guys?
Being friends with Brooke is the BOMB!!!! She and I are always having BOY issues and we have the same believes when it comes to LOVE so we can always be there for each other!!! For the up and downs of our relationships. If I was straight we’d be the perfect Hollywood couple. The paparazzi can really suck sometimes, when we want to have a relaxing day at the beach and they are trying to get that shot of us at the beach it can be a bit frustrating. But the RED CARPETS ROCK!!! love em! So its a love/hate relationship with the paparazzi.

3. What was the experience like filming “Brooke Knows Best”?
It has been an amazing experience, at first I thought it was going to be hard, but it actually became an amazing experience to be on camera every minute, and to be creative and witty for the crew and our audience!

4. Who would you like to work with in the future? (as a choreographer and as an actor)
This might sound crazy, but I really want to make horror films, so working with new and up and coming hollywood would be a dream in a NEW HORROR FILM directed by myself!

5. What’s something no one knows about you?
I love to be in a relationship! I wear my heart on my sleeve. I cant wait to be married with children!

6. You were in a boy band called twONEty a long time ago. What was that like?
It was an amazing experience, even thou LOU PEARLMAN was my manager. I got to travel the world for 2 years, and that was worth it all! I’d go back in a heartbeat!

7. If you couldn’t be a choreographer or actor, what job would you chose?
I would say still something in the entertainment business, directing or photography. But if I had to pick something not in the entertainment field i think it would be a LOG CABIN BUILDER. I love LOG CABINS, its the farm boy in me, since I grew up on a farm in MICHIGAN.

8. Are you working on any new projects?
I am, I have a SEXY female group called the KNOCKOUTS(a pussycat dolls type group), I feel there is room for one more group like that. I am shopping for a record deal for them. And I’m working on a clothing line, called “A PEICE OF GLENN”, starting with recycling my old clothing and making unique wristbands with them!

9. If you could go back and do something differently in your career, what would it be?
No regrets! Wouldn’t want to change a thing! But I should have takin a picture with MJ!!! lol

10. If you could say one thing to all your fans out there, what would it be?
Smile and the world will smile back. If you have dreams go out there and get them, they are not going to just come knocking on your door! You have to work hard, to be the best. So do whatever you can to make yourself the best!

Our Interview with Kristy Joe

Interviews — @ 2:00 pm

We got the chance to interview Kristy Joe Muller, from Season 2 of “Rock Of Love with Bret Michaels” on VH1, on October 6th (today). You may remember her as the girl everyone loved to hate on the show, or you may have seen some of her photoshoots in Playboy. Thanks for the interview, Kristy! (And also, there are about 20-30 new interviews with “I Love Money”, “Rock Of Love 1 & 2″, “I Love New York 1 & 2″, “Flavor Of Love 1, 2, & 3″, and “A Shot At Love With Tila Tequila 1 & 2″ cast members coming soon. Watchout for those!)

1. What was your experience on “Rock Of Love 2″ like? Did you generally have a lot of fun?
My experience on Rock of Love 2 was both emotional and exciting! The things that were emotional for me was all criticism, the fights, finding love, and all the jealousy from some of the girls. The part that was most exciting on the show was meeting Bret, learning a lot about myself, and doing awesome dates and challenges – such as building a bike, racing a lotus, roller derby, our rodeo, and my favorite challenge making a music video!

2. Looking back, would you have done anything differently on the show?
Looking back on the show, yes I would have done a lot of things differently like not cry a lot J (but I am super sensitive so…), not trust one of the girls (Amber), and I would have not hurt Bret, that’s what I would have done differently.

3. Almost all of the girls in the “Rock Of Love” house targeted you and wanted you gone. How did that make you feel?
I tried not to think about the girls not liking me because I wasn’t there for them, I was on the show for Bret (I really was attracted to him and liked him) so I kept my focus on him. However, the part that was hard was being away from my son, Bret has kids so he understood how it felt to be away from them, so he got it.

4. You and Aubry Fisher formed a close friendship on the show, and she even left so you wouldn’t be eliminated. Are you guys still close?
Aubry and I were instant friends from the bus ride over, to picking our room in the house, she is a super cool girl and I just love her (like a sister)! Aubry is probably one of the funniest girls I know, on the show they didn’t show her stand-up comedy routines but she would do stand-up for all of us and just have us in stitches. She is really kind hearted and loveable, and loyal and that is why we are still friends today.

5. Are you friends with any of the other cast members from “Rock Of Love 2″ or “Rock Of Love: Charm School 2″?
Yes Catherine and I are still friends I love that girl, Destiny, Jessica, Heather, and many others but you will have to watch Charm School 2 to see…

6. You’re going to be on the new VH1 show, “Rock Of Love: Charm School 2″. What was your experience on that show like?
Yes I will be on the show and the experience was awesome!

7. Are you working on any new projects? (shows, etc.)
Yes I have a ton of things in the works, but the one thing that is current is my cover on Guitar magazine I am super excited about it, it is my first cover! Also, started back in school for Architectural design.

8. You have your own store called “The Happy Polka Dot”. Where did you get the idea from, and how successful is the store?
My store the happy polka dot, started off of a whim when I found some super cute bags, and beautiful jewelry and I knew I just had to start selling these great products so I did. The business is going good, I would love to open a store soon, after I finish school.

9. If you guys could say one thing to all your fans, what would it be?
Thank you, I appreciate everyone’s support and I am thankful to have such awesome fans!

Our Interview With Thriving Ivory

Interviews > Thriving Ivory — @ 1:17 pm

We got the chance to interview the up-and-coming band, Thriving Ivory’s guitarist, Drew Cribley, on October 3rd (today). Most of you may recognize Thriving Ivory as a VH1 “You Oughta Know” artist, and for their single, “Angels On The Moon”. Be sure to check out their music on their Myspace by clicking HERE. Thanks again for the interview!

1. Where is your guys’ favorite place you’ve performed at so far, if you have one?
Our favorite place might have been the Norva in Norfolk Virginia. They have a backstage like no other venue we’ve ever seen and the front room and pa are amazing also. The backstage has a basketball hoop, ping pong table, arcade games and a hot tub. I think Rolling Stone rated it one of the top nicest backstages in the country. We’re definitely going back there.

2. Where do you get most of your musical inspiration from?
Musical inspiration comes from everywhere. It comes from other bands, other types of art and life itself. A lot of what ends up in the lyrics to our songs comes from life experience, whether it’s from relationships or introspection. I think that the more places you have to draw inspiration from, the better your art becomes.

3. What’s the craziest thing that’s happened to you at/during a show?
At one of our very first shows I got an egg thrown at me. It kinda bounced off the top of my head and I thought there was no major damage but at the end of the show I was talking to someone and they said, “dude you have an egg yoke in your hair.”

4. What’s your favorite song to perform live?
My favorite song to perform live might be “Long Hallway with a Broken Light”. I love all the rises and falls in it not to mention getting to wail on guitar in a couple spots. It has great energy.

5. Who are your favorite bands (or solo acts) to perform with?
One of our favorites has been Switchfoot; they’re some of the nicest guys and they’re definitely influences on our music. That was a great show.

6. You guys are a “VH1 You Oughta Know” artist. How has that effected your level of fame/number of fans?
The Vh1 “You outta know” thing has definitely increased the number of people at shows and our online audiences, via our website and myspace. It’s awesome that a huge station like that will take a chance on a band in the current state of the music business and economy in general. We owe them a lot. Even though we’re not getting stopped walking down the street yet, with their help it’s just a matter of time.

7. If you could say one thing to all your fans, what would it be?
Of course first would be thank you for helping us do what we love for a living! We hope that we can keep making you happy. But I would also say to those who have just heard our single to go check out the whole album. There’s more than one good song on there.

Our Interview With Tawny Heath

Interviews > Tawny Heath — @ 11:13 pm

We got to interview an AMAZING singer named Tawny Heath on October 1st (today). Be sure to check out her music on her Myspace by clicking HERE. You guys may recognize her, since she’s always on the Top Artists section of Myspace Music. She has well over 10.5 MILLION plays on her Myspace, and over 6 million profile views. She is also involved in charities, including Children Without A Voice. So without further adu, here’s the interview :) (And thank you SO much Tawny!)

1. You have over 10.5 million plays on your Myspace, and you’re always a top artist in the Myspace Music section. How has that effected your fanbase & the number of fans you have?
I think myspace has helped me imensily with building a fanbase. I put a lot of time into my myspace, and I am on there everyday. I am always trying to keep it up to date, and let all my friends know what I am up too. It is such a great way to share my music with everyone. I have met a lot of great industry contacts through myspace as well, which has led to some great friendships. Myspace is an amazing way of self promotion, and getting noticed.

2. Who would you like to work with in the future?
There are SO many people that I would love to work with that my list could probably go on forever…lol
Some artist would be Justin Timberlake, Prince, Ne-Yo as a writer and a producer I would love to work with would be Timbaland, but that is just a few people. There are so many taleneted people I look up to, and would love to work with.

3. Who do you like to perform with the most?
I guess Justin Timberlake and Prince fall into this category as well, because they are such great entertainers. I would also love to share the stage with Janet Jackson. I think she is great.

4. If you could change one thing that you’ve done with your career so far, what would it be?
I recorded my first song when I was 17, so I have only been recording music for 2 years. Sometimes I wish I would have started recording when I was around 15 or so. I always wanted to be a singer, but at that time I was really into modeling, dancing, and just being a normal girl in high school.

5. Where is/was your favorite place to perform?
I have enjoyed everywhere I have performed. The mall tour I went on was really cool, because you met so many people who were in the malls just shopping with their families and friends, and the next thing you knew they came by to watch your show without even knowing who you were. It was a really cool way to meet my friends of myspace who came out to see the show and also get new fans.
I really enjoy performing in clubs and venues too because I feel you can give more of a “show” with all the lights shining down on you, its dark in the crowd and the music is really loud. Its a really exciting feeling.

6. What’s your favorite song to perform live?
I dont have a particular favorite. Most of the songs I perform are uptempo, so I get to have fun dancing and performing with all of them.

7. Did you know much about the business before you got into it?
I really didnt know anything more than the average person starting out. No one in my family had ever modeled, recorded music, or had been signed to an agency. I got my love of music from my mom. This is something I have always wanted to do since I could rememeber so my mom always helped me and was behind me in everything. She has worked hard for me.

8. Are you working on any new projects? (music, etc.)
As of lately I have been recording lots of new music with a new producer. I put up a new song on my myspace 2 weeks ago and I will be putting another one up hopefully by this weekend. I love getting new music out there to share with everyone.

9. When you were getting started with your career, did you ever imagine you would make it this far?
I “imagine” and dream lots of things. I dont ever tell myself or let myself think that I cant make this happen or this wont happen for me. I am a very positive person and really dislike negative energy. I think with lots of hard-work and dedication we can make things we “imagine” true. :-)

10. If you could say one thing to all of your fans, what would it be?
It feels funny for me to think I have fans…I consider pretty much everyone a friend, but I guess I can just say Thank You. Thank you supporting me, being kind to me, and Thank You for being right there beside me as I follow my dream! I have amazing myspace friends!

Our Interview With Dead In A Daydream

Interviews — @ 5:16 pm

Another interview today, guys! :) This time, we got to interview Dead In A Daydream, who happens to be an amazing acoustic/pop duo. Be sure to check them out on Myspace by clicking HERE. Thanks again for the interview, guys!

1. Where do you get most of your musical inspiration from?
I get alot of my inspiration from dave melillo. He came and played at this small venue in michigan when i was like 15 and he just blew me away. i started writing musically seriously after that. I was definitley upset when i found out that he was taking a break from his music to play with cute is what we aim for.

2. Where’s your guys’ favorite place you’ve performed at so far, if you have one?
My favorite place to play is definitely a place called The Flood Cafe in St Clair Shores, MI. Probably cause its just where it all started. I’m best friends with the girls who booked there and they are the ones who first gave me a chance to perform.

3. Who are your favorite bands (or solo acts) to perform with?
I really like performing with a band called which way is home. They’re awesome. I’d suggest them to anyone. Also, I love playing with The Years Gone By, and Audio Summer.

4. Are you guys working on new music?
Yeah we are pretty much always working on new music. At this current moment were planning on going back to the studio in december right after christmas. But, we have kinda been in talks about another tour that we’ll have more info to give out if we end up going.

5. What’s your favorite song to perform live?
My favorite song to perform live is searching for that something. I love the harmonies in that song and mike and i have a good time playing that one.

6. What’s your fanbase like so far? Mostly girls, mostly guys, etc.?
Our fanbase has generally been girls. I’d say between 13-17 on average. We love all of our fans though.

7. You added another member, Mike, to the band not too long ago. How has that changed things for the band? (number of fans, etc.)
Well since i’ve released recordings with mike on them things have been taking off. in june we were getting about 30 plays a day and had 6000 plays total. we’ve gotten about 100000 plays in the last 3 months. Mike has definitely had a profound effect on the band. oh yeah, and the girls love his eyes. Lol.

Our Interview with Saving Jane!

Interviews — @ 2:16 pm

We got the chance to interview Saving Jane, who are most notable for their hit singles “Girl Next Door” and “Happy”, on September 29th (today)! Check out the interview we had below (with lead singer Marti):

1. Are there any plans to release more singles from your new album, SuperGirl?
We would like to release another song by the end of the year, but we’re not sure which one it will be yet.

2. How has being famous effected you in your professional and personal life?
We’re still on a small enough scale that we don’t recognized that much, so it hasn’t changed anything. If anything, I get the best of both worlds, because I can get cool stuff like clothing and concert tickets, but I still get to go to the grocery store in my pajamas!

3. What’s the craziest thing that’s happened to you at/during a show?
A very long time ago, before Saving Jane was even a band, I used to perform in an acoustic act with Pat. One night we were playing at a bar on Ohio State’s campus and this lady came in, obviously pretty intoxicated, and sat down right in front of us…about 5 minutes later she started projectile vomiting. Not an experience I care to repeat.

4. Where do you get most of your musical inspiration from?
Most of my songs are written about things that are happening in my life or that I dealt with in the past.

5. Who are your favorite bands (or solo acts) to perform with?
I don’t know that we have a favorite band to perform with-we are happy to share the stage with anybody who is passionate, talented, and fun to hang out with!

6. What’s your favorite song (out of all your albums) to perform live?
One of my favorites in the set is “What I Didn’t Say”..it’s such an emotional song, I really enjoy singing it.

7. If you could say one thing to all your fans, what would it be?
Thank you for allowing us to do what we do!

Our Interview with 1931!

Interviews — @ 8:54 pm

We got the chance to interview the band, 1931 today (September 28th). They are probably THE best metal band you will ever hear! Check out the interview below.

1. Where do you get most of your musical inspiration from?
We get our inspiration from all over the place. Sometimes it comes from other music, and sometimes it comes from other places most people might not think of…for example, one of us might have a really awesome day and just pick up a guitar and just crank out all of these killer riffs just because the mood was right that day.

2. Are you guys working on an album?
We are in the writing process of our new album, we have a few songs written now, but as of right now we don’t have a name picked out.

3. Where’s your guys’ favorite place you’ve performed at so far, if you have one?
Oh man, this is a hard one. Pretty much we love playing everywhere. If there are kids at a show who are truly enjoying themselves, I love that, because it reminds me of when I was like 14 years old going to shows and having a blast. It’s cool when stuff like that comes full circle, seeing bands when you were young and feeling so cool because they actually talked and hung out with their fans, and then seeing kids act the same way with your band. It rules because we’re all just dudes who like playing metal and shit…but if we can be an inspiration to somebody, that is awesome.

4. After having gone through so many band members, what has it taught you guys?
Well after all of the lineup changes, it’s taught us that nothing lasts forever, granted we wanna play metal until we’re dead, chances are you aren’t going to be able to play with the same guys your entire life. I would love to say “yeah we’ve had the same lineup for four years” but shit happens… people move on with their lives, people flake on you, people get kicked out, anything you can think of, it happens. You pretty much have to just go with the flow and keep focusing on doing what you love.

5. What’s the craziest thing that’s happened to you guys on tour?
This is a tough one… let me think… Ok, so we were in Jacksonville, Florida last summer while we were touring, and after our show at The Pit, we needed a place to crash, but unfortunately there wasn’t anywhere we could stay. So we ended up driving down the street to just chill out all night at the beach… little did I know we were about to come up on some weird ass shit. We get to the beach and we’re hanging out for a while, and then these two guys come up and start talking to us. Let it be known that these guys had just gotten out of prison and their names were fucking OUTLAW and DOPE BOY. I mean what the fuck is that all about? Anyways, these guys are just super sketchy all night, not really hanging around us, but still kind of hanging around. We made it to dawn before everybody passed out in the hot ass oven we call “the van” all covered in sand. We finally wake up and walk down to the McDonald’s like a block away, come back, and to our surprise, SOME FUCKING ASSHOLE ROBBED OUR VAN. Ipods, phones, cameras, clothing, bags, all that shit was gone, and all we can think is “MOTHERFUCKING OUTLAW AND DOPE BOY”. The moral of this story is “don’t trust dudes you meet on the beach at 2AM, you’re in for trouble if you do.”

Also Kevin made out with Matt that night….

6. Who are your favorite bands (or solo acts) to perform with?
Every Bridge Burned on Rise Records! Those dudes by far have been our best friends and brother band for a long time. Go pick up their album AUN APRENDO today! We also love playing with our dudes in By The Sins Fell Angels, TTEOTD, Days Fade, and all of our other Ohio homies.

Thanks again guys! Good luck with your music! Be sure to check them out on their Myspace by clicking HERE.
